Approved – Near-term Science-Based Targets

SBTi Services has validated that the science-based greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets submitted by DANÆG HOLDING A/S conform with the SBTi Standards and Guidance (Criteria version 5.2) and the SBTi Forest, Land and Agriculture Guidance. SBTi Services has also classified the company’s Scope 1 and 2 targets as being in conformance with the SBTi Standards and Guidance.

The targets in the official near-term science-based target language:

Energy & Industry

1. Danaeg Holding A/S commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2021 base year*

2. Danaeg Holding A/S also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, fuel and energy related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, waste generated in operation and downstream transportation and distribution 42% within the same time frame.

*The target boundary includes biogenic land-related emissions and removals from bioenergy feedstocks.

FLAG:

3. Danaeg Holding A/S commits to reduce scope 1 and 3 FLAG GHG emissions from purchased eggs 40% per tonne fresh weight by 2030 from a 2021 base year*

4. Danaeg Holding A/S commit to no deforestation across its primary deforestation-linked commodities with a target date of December 31, 2025

*The target includes FLAG emissions and removals.
